    About SuppIndex

SuppIndex is a neutral, evidence-graded reference for dietary supplement ingredients — no paid placements, every claim tied to indexed clinical research.

    What is SuppIndex?

SuppIndex is an evidence-based supplement ingredient database covering 276 ingredients and 776 indexed studies across 18 categories. Each ingredient page summarizes clinical studies, mechanism of action, effective dosage ranges, safety data, and any trademarked (branded) forms of the raw material.

How are SuppIndex evidence scores calculated?

Every ingredient receives an overall 0–100 evidence score built from the quantity and quality of indexed human research — randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses weigh more than observational or preclinical work — along with dose-response consistency and safety data. Scores map to levels: Strong, Moderate, and Emerging.

    Is SuppIndex independent?

Yes. Ingredient rankings and evidence scores are derived from indexed clinical research and are not for sale — there are no paid placements in the index. Product recommendations are graded on linked ingredient evidence and clearly disclosed.

What is a trademarked ingredient form?

A trademarked (branded) form is a specific manufacturer's version of a raw ingredient — for example Creapure® creatine monohydrate or KSM-66® ashwagandha — usually with its own standardization, patents, certifications, and clinical studies. SuppIndex tracks these alongside the generic ingredient so you can compare them directly.
